Lauren Downie, a native of Connecticut, earned her high school diploma at Valley Regional High School of Deep River, Connecticut in 2002.

Lauren went on to receive a B.S. in Biology from Sacred Heart University where she graduated Cum Laude in 2006. From there Lauren attended Quinnipiac University where she received a Masters degree in Health Science and Physician Assistant studies in 2009. She is a certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Lauren is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Her Professional interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Inflammatory Bowel syndrome as well as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
